About the Artist: Serena Cutaneo

Serena is a 24 year old artist and art therapist from New Jersey. She received her Bachelors in Studio Art and Psychology from Marist University in New York in 2023, and spent 4 months in Italy immersed in European culture and artwork.

Serena received her Masters in Art Therapy from the George Washington University in Washington D.C. in 2025. She is currently working as an art therapist at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey in the Psych IP-Acute unit. As an art therapist, Serena is passionate about using art as a tool for healing, connection, and self-discovery. She values authenticity, empathy, and creativity, and aims to create supportive, nonjudgmental spaces where people are seen, heard, and feel empowered.
